We’ve been a few days off for the Easter vacations, choosing the Alps of southern Piedmont for our hikes on the snow. After two days of snowfalls, finally on Sunday we had a wonderful sky of blue.
We plunged into the white, walking and skiing under the warm springtime sun. Not that bad at all, don’t you think?! In photo 2, on the left: Rocca La Marchisa (3072 m), our goal.
After a long period down with the flu, yesterday we had a walk downtown, taking advantage of a sunny afternoon. It’s always surprising to see the Mole against the blue sky… Did anybody have the chance to visit it? It’s an historical landmark and symbol of our town, built in the XIX century. Nowadays it houses the National Cinema Museum.
One year ago, we were leaving London, sailing away from Dover. And now, it’s again a goodbye, since one more year has passed. Wish to all of you people a serene and peaceful new year.
On the snow, at last! Last Sunday we started our winter trips season, accompanied by a warm sun and an amazing blue sky. We were very lucky!
