Spring energy

Spring is a season of renewal and rebirth, but we often feel tired and weak after the long winter months… if we need to get energy one of our best allies is food. Here you can see our dinner: first of all a big salad made with escarole, endive, corn salad, walnuts, radicchio and dandelion greens (picked up in the mountains), which are highly detoxing. Then, a veggie soup with azuki and mung beans (rich in vegetable proteins), buckwheat and brown rice, with a drizzle of olive oil. Tasty and complete.

Springtime is coming, despite the persistent rain and grey mist all around… waiting for the sun and the new sprouts of green, let’s enjoy the brilliant colour of the last spinach, high in vitamins and minerals. Together with basmati rice, oat and red lentils it was a great lunch.

Hello there! We’re back. We’ve been so busy moving house, that we really couldn’t find the time for the blog. But now we finally settled down, the new house is getting more and more our home. So, let’s (re)start with food. After too much takeaway pizza, we urgently need a big salad! P1050085

Purple shades

Red purple shades are the common thread in our shopping, today. From above: red radicchio, celeriac (and behind it red cabbage), lentils and red azuki beans, Ligurian olives. Tomorrow we’ll prepare a veg red purple dinner for our friends, adding red wine, of course!
